At 1.78″ x 1.78″ (45 x 45 mm) the SQ is the slimmest four-column system Ergoswiss makes, which is what allows four lifting points on a bench where heavier profiles would crowd the legroom or the understructure. The shorter stroke also means a lower retracted height – worth checking against any bench that has to fit beneath existing shelving or a fume hood. Two adjacent 8 mm Ergoswiss T-slots per column.
